Hello,

I was using VMware Player and I have updated to Windows 10, after that my VM couldn't connecto to the network.

After having all day of research and making changes, I've installed VMware Workstation 11, the problem persists but now I think that I now which is the problem.

In network adapters on windows 10 host the virtual networks doesn't appear but if I go to devices manager I can see two unknown devices, after reinstaling the controller it says that windows encountered a problem updating the controller (error 18) for the device "VMware Virtual Ethernet Adapter for VMnet1" and "VMware Virtual Ethernet Adapter for VMnet8"

So, where I can find the proper controllers to update it manually?

When launching the VM in vmware.log it says:

2015-07-30T19:17:20.318+02:00| vcpu-0| I120: VNET: MACVNetPort_Connect: Ethernet0: vmnet driver version does not match, expected 6, found 5

2015-07-30T19:17:20.320+02:00| vcpu-0| I120: Msg_Post: Warning

2015-07-30T19:17:20.321+02:00| vcpu-0| I120: [msg.vnet.connectvnet] Could not connect Ethernet0 to virtual network "VMnet8". More information can be found in the vmware.log file.

2015-07-30T19:17:20.321+02:00| vcpu-0| I120: [msg.device.startdisconnected] Virtual device Ethernet0 will start disconnected.
